VISA INSTRUCTION GUIDE FOR INDIA
 
Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) -
ETA Visa on is for those who sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight seeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business.

The ETA VISA allows (2) two visits within a 4 month period, for a stay of up to 60 days in India per visit. A maximum of two ETA visas can be issued within one year.

  • Copy of Passport (Passport must be valid for 6 months beyond stay in India and with at least one blank visa page).

  • Flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets showing round trip travel to India or onward flight.
  • Complete Credit card form for payment.
  • One recent color photograph 2"x2". New photo requirements: Applicants are no longer allowed to wear glasses in their passport-type photos submitted with all visa application.

  • For those applying for an ETA visa for business purposes, you must also scan a copy of your business card.

TOURIST VISA -
Tourist visa is for those visiting India for tourism or other non-business related purposes.

Please send the following:
  • One Application Form. You must complete online, print and sign the visa form. Please select the office of your Indian Mission Jurisdiction based on your state of residence.
  • The Jurisdiction of Washington D.C: Bermuda, Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
  • The Jurisdiction of Chicago: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin.
  • The Jurisdiction of New York: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
  • The Jurisdiction of Houston: Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
  • The Jurisdiction of Atlanta: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virgin Islands.
  • The Jurisdiction of San Francisco: Alaska, Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
  • Application forms printed back to back on a single page are NOT accepted. Applicants are required to sign the visa application in two places. On page 1, the applicant must sign COMPLETELY inside the box located under the photo area. On page 2, the applicant must sign on the dotted line at the bottom of the page.
  1. India Particular Form : Each applicant from all jurisdictions must fill out this form in addition to the regular visa application.
  2. Declaration and Undertaking Form : Each applicant from all jurisdictions must fill out this form in addition to the regular visa application and the India Particular form.
  3. Disclaimer Form: Applicants from Atlanta jurisdiction only must fully complete.
  4. U.S. Passport, signed and valid for at least 6 months.
  5. Two passport size photos, color.
  6. All applicants need to submit a photocopy with proof of residence/address that matches the present address on the visa application, such as a photocopy front and back of driver's license or state issued ID.
  7. All non-US passport holders are only eligible for up to a Six (6) month Tourist visa and must include a copy of their US Status (Copy of Permanent Residence card or Copy of US visa).
BUSINESS VISA -
Business visa is for those doing business in India such as making sales or establishing contacts on behalf of a company outside of India, etc.

Please send the following:
  • One Application Form. You must complete online, print and sign the visa form. Please select the office of your Indian Mission Jurisdiction based on your state of residence.
  • The Jurisdiction of Washington D.C: Bermuda, Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

  • Letter of Incorporation from the host company in India is required. Emailed copies are acceptable.
